Terms & Conditions

BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS:

Rates are for two people per room, per day and are inclusive of  TVA, breakfast, free access to WiFi. Local taxes not included.

Rates shown are in Euros. Billing is made in local currency i.e. Moroccan dirhams (MAD).

The exchange rate is 1€ = 11 MAD

LOCAL TAXES

Riads are registered as « Maisons d’hôtes » and have to charge 2 different local taxes :

  • Taxe de Promotion Touristique (TPT) : 15 DHS per guest and per day (Tourism promotion tax)

  • Taxe Communale (since January 2008) : 15 DHS per guest and per day (City tax)

Theses taxes are repaid to the city of Essaouira and to the Office National Marocaine du Tourisme.

RESERVATION POLICY (EXCLUDING THE EXCLUSIVE USE OF THE RIAD)

  • A 50% security deposit is required to secure and confirm your reservation.

  • The deposit can be paid by Credit Card or Bank Transfer.

  • The deposit is non refundable.

  • Outstanding balance and all extras are to be paid on departure at the riad either by cash (dirhams or euros) or credit card).

CANCELLATION POLICY (INCLUDING EXCLUSIVE USE OF THE RIAD)

  • Non-refundable deposit in case of order cancellation by the customer.

EXTRA COSTS

  • Per child sharing the parents’ Junior Suite Maghreb : 300 DHS per day (free under 4 years, cot bed available on request)

  • HALF-BOARD (HB)
    HB must be confirmed either at booking time or at check-in.

  • HB is charged 399 DHS per guest and per day.

  • HB must be taken for the entire stay. Any HB not taken a day is not refunded.

  • HB is composed of a starter, a main dish and a desert.

  • HB can be taken either at dinner or at lunch.

 

EXCLUSIVE USE OF THE RIAD

The Riad in exclusivity is only possible for a minimum stay of 1 day.

  • The number of guests hosted cannot be over the maximum capacity of the Riad 25 people over 12 years old.

  • The reservation is guaranteed upon payment of 50% of the total amount of the reservation.

  • The deposit is non refundable.

  • All extras are to be paid at departure at the Riad either by cash (Dirhams) or by credit card.

  • Salut Maroc! may decide to amend the current policy should the client request additional services (wedding party, off-sites, seminars, airport transfer, Horse Riding...)

 

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR EXCLUSIVE USE OF THE RIAD

  • The cancellation is non refundable.

Transfers and excursions reserved and confirmed cannot be cancelled. These services are fully due for the amount planned in the confirmation, whatever is the date of cancellation.

FORMALITY FOR INDIVIDUAL TRAVELLERS

  • The passport is required for all travellers including children

  • Touristic stay is limited to 3 months.

  • Some nationalities may require a visa; please check with your Consulate or Embassy before departure.

  • The Moroccan law does not allow hotels, Riads and guest houses to host unmarried Muslim country nationals.

INFORMATION COLLECTED

When you use Salut Maroc! Site including but not limited to the online reservation, online registration, the Company may ask you to provide certain information which relates to you by filling out and submitting the online forms. 

Information you give us helps us to provide you with our services, enter into a contract with you and/or reply to or take actions in response to your enquiries or requests.
